Emerging Threats in Public Health: Pandemic Influenza (also available in Spanish)

This multimedia training has been designed to educate public health professionals about pandemic influenza.  Through interactive lessons, you will learn basic information about how a flu virus transforms and how it is transmitted; the criteria used to identify a pandemic; the effects a pandemic has on populations; the history of pandemic influenza; factors specific to avian influenza; and the strategies involved in the public health system response.
