Competency Mapping Guide for Bioterrorism/Emergency Readiness

This Competency Mapping Guide is designed to help you answer a simple, yet complicated question: Does a given training activity help the learner develop a specific competency at a level that meets the basic requirements of the national Bioterrorism/Emergency Readiness (BT/ER) competencies. The guide also addresses several questions about BT/ER training activities:
1. Does the activity address a bioterrorism competency?
2. If so, which competency/competencies are addressed in the training?
3. What level of competency do learners who successfully complete this activity achieve?
4. Do the BT/ER competencies help the learner achieve any other competencies useful for public health practitioners?

To begin, watch the "Dissecting Training: Building toward Competence in Emergency Preparedness" presentation. A written transcript of the narration is also available if you prefer.
